Create your first project

A project in Guilda Work is a category of work — for example, a client, a project or an internal area. Everything you record (quick notes, tasks with a duration, one-off events) hangs from a project.

Create a new project

1. Go to Projects (the house icon, first link in the side menu).
2. Scroll down to the New project section.
3. Type a name and, if you like, pick a colour to tell it apart at a glance on the cards and in the history.
4. Press Create project.

What you can do inside a project

When you open a project you can:

• Jot down a quick note, with a template of favourite phrases if you have created some before.
• Record an instant event (something one-off that has just happened).
• Start a task with a duration (a timer that runs until you pause or finish it).
• See the full log of that project, with its own search.

Favourites and order

Mark a project as a favourite (star icon on its card) so it always appears at the very top of the dashboard. You can reorder your projects with the up/down arrows on each card.

Edit or delete a project

From inside the project, the Edit project link (top right) lets you change the name and colour, or delete it — it goes to the trash rather than being erased immediately, so you can recover it if you make a mistake.
